Hans Eijkenaar was always a fanboy of anything jazz or fusion, it is the music he started with in the first place!

After years of working with the best pop and rock artists in the country and beyond (plus a plethora of TV shows and recordings) het felt the need to dive into fusion again, possibly his preferred genre.

Besides being a pro musician Hans has a knack for new tech, anything digital and modern equipment……plus he is a podcast addict. This led him to awareness of AI and all of it’s possible consequences for the music industry.

And then it hit him, let’s do something really positive with AI, let’s really MAKE music, instead of being afraid of new developments.

The challenge was to see if there was AI software to be found that would be able to compose tunes at the level that he was used to as a player and listener, as well as a composer. He used to write this stuff himself….

And within a few weeks of prompting, fine-tuning and selecting there was actually a whole repertoire, worth of being performed live with his favourite musicians.

He actually called all of them after having completed the setlist in demo form and asked them if they would be interested in forming a new band with his repertoire, jazz-fusion instrumental, funk and more….the response was unanimous, yes please.

It wasn’t until the first meeting he unveiled the real concept to the band (not my tracks, AI generated tracks!!……WHAT???)

And now we have a rehearsing, working. grooving band with great soloists to hit the stage in 2026, long story short.
